The Foster Care Project is seeking compassionate volunteers to become Family Connect Coach Monitors, helping children and parents take important steps toward reunification.
Family Connect Coach Monitors play a vital role by supervising court-ordered family visits in safe and supportive environments. Each visitation site is designed to help families connect, with toys, games, books, and art materials that encourage meaningful, positive experiences between children and their parents.
Two Coach Monitor Training sessions will be held at All Saints Church, 132 N. Euclid Ave., Pasadena, CA:
- Saturday, October 21, 2023 | 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Saturday, October 28, 2023 | 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
This volunteer service is essential in giving families the best chance at reunification, while also easing the anxiety children may experience while living in out-of-home placements.
We are especially seeking bilingual volunteers who speak Spanish, to better serve the diverse families in our community.
Visits take place in agency settings in Pasadena, South Pasadena, or El Sereno, all of which follow strict health and safety protocols to protect families and volunteers.
