BELLEVUE, Wash. — September 8, 2025 — The Un-carrier is once again showing the competition why it's the gold standard. Today, T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) announced that the Los Angeles Organizing Committee (LA28) has selected T-Mobile for Business as the Official Telecommunications Services Provider of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. T-Mobile for Business will develop and deploy cutting-edge solutions — powered by the T-Mobile 5G Network — to help LA28 create the most tech-forward production of the Games in modern history.
“The LA28 Games will set the standard for how technology can connect people to the biggest stage in all of sports,” said David Michael, Chief Information Officer for LA28. “Harnessing new technologies and partners who align with our vision is key to the future of the Movement. T-Mobile for Business will play a crucial role in connecting Games stakeholders to the action as events unfold at more than 110 connected locations — including more than 40 competition venues — across Southern California.”
T-Mobile for Business will deliver purpose-built, fully integrated managed services to support event operations and connect the entire event at the massive and unprecedented scale LA28 requires. T-Mobile for Business will provide:
  • Fast, reliable connectivity: T-Mobile 5G Advanced Network Solutions (5G ANS) will enhance connectivity at competition venues and numerous non-competition venues across Southern California and beyond. T-Mobile for Business will also connect more than 15,000 staff with critical push-to-talk services. LA28 will also connect essential staff through voice lines with SuperMobile — T-Mobile's new business phone connectivity plan that offers nationwide network slicing, built-in security and satellite coverage.
  • Seamless and efficient operations: Reliable, high-bandwidth and highly secure connectivity for point-of-sale systems and event ticketing by utilizing new technologies such as network slicing.
  • Connectivity for event broadcasts: T-Mobile for Business will provide the secure, low-latency connection between the International Broadcast Center (IBC) — the central hub for all broadcast operations — and all competition venues. Additionally, T-Mobile 5G will support the Olympic Broadcasting Services (the host broadcaster of the Games) as it connects to more than 100 broadcasters from all over the world covering the Games for global audiences.
  • Next-generation technologies: T-Mobile for Business will also use the Games as a showcase for cutting-edge wireless technologies and next-generation use cases in sports and beyond! From AI-powered data solutions to innovations that enhance fan engagement, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability, these technologies are designed to shape the future of connected business and live events and are made possible by T-Mobile for Business.
“T-Mobile for Business has the advanced, next-gen technology that will help redefine how the Games are run and experienced – making them faster, more connected, and more immersive and epic," said Mo Katibeh, Chief Marketing Officer, T-Mobile Business Group. "We’re thrilled this technology will be put in play on the biggest stage in sports to support LA28’s goals to increase operational efficiencies, transform fan experiences and support a seamless broadcast."

Beverly Hills, CA — The Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles is proud to announce the Second Italian Sports Day in the World, a unique evening set in the greenery of Roxbury Park in Beverly Hills, where sport, science, and performance converge under the sign of Italian excellence.

The program unfolds as a conversation moderated by journalist Veronica Maffei, guiding the audience through an exploration of how scientific research, innovative industry, and athletic performance converge to shape a holistic vision of wellness. Maura Fanti, postdoctoral researcher at USC’s Longevity Institute, will share her work on dietary strategies such as time-restricted eating and fasting-mimicking diets, shedding light on their impact on aging, chronic inflammation, and metabolic health. From the world of industry, Fabrizio Gamberini brings the experience of Vibram, the Italian company recognized worldwide as the leader in high-performance rubber soles for outdoor and leisure activities, where he directs research and innovation at the cutting edge of design and performance. Completing the dialogue is the athlete’s perspective: Sofia Cantore, newly signed with the Washington Spirit and the first Italian ever to join the NWSL, who draws from her international journey with Juventus and the Italian National Team to reflect on the demands and aspirations of top-level competition.

This celebration of Italian innovation and talent promises to engage audiences in a dynamic dialogue on how Italy continues to excel on the field, in the laboratory, and across industries shaping the future of sport and wellness.

LOS ANGELES (August 27, 2025) – Today, the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic
 Games
proposed to relocate Diving to the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center in the Venue City of Pasadena. This relocation would achieve up to $17.6 million in combined savings and revenue growth, supporting LA28’s goal to host a fiscally responsible Games. This move also addresses athlete safety concerns, reduces operational complexities in the Exposition Park zone, and leverages an existing world-class venue that will offer an unparalleled experience for athletes and spectators from around the world.

"This presents a significant opportunity to deliver successful marquee events, with greater budget certainty, while also ensuring an exceptional competition venue for our Diving athletes, with their safety remaining our top priority," said Reynold Hoover LA28 Chief Executive Officer. "The decision to stage Diving at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center is beneficial on all fronts, and we’re grateful to our Host City and Venue City partners for their unwavering support and collaboration as we finalize the 2028 Games Plan."

In June 2024, LA28 brought forward several updates to its Games Plan that collectively achieved more than $150 million in combined cost savings and revenue increases which were unanimously approved by the City Council in March 2025. Within these updates, LA28 identified the 1932 Pool in the Exposition Park Zone for the Diving competition. However, as Games planning has progressed and became more detailed over the past year, including an in-depth analysis conducted by LA28, the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center has been determined to be best suited to host Diving events in 2028.

The Rose Bowl Aquatics Center offers an existing world class pool that meets Olympic Diving standards and requires fewer improvements in order to host Diving in 2028. Additionally, this facility resolves athlete safety concerns, provides additional athlete amenities and spectator seating, and affords significant revenue increases and cost savings for the overall Games budget.

LA28 is in discussion with the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks on future improvements to the John C. Argue Swim Stadium pool in Exposition Park for the long-term benefit of the community.
