Beverly Hills, CA — The Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles is proud to announce the Second Italian Sports Day in the World, a unique evening set in the greenery of Roxbury Park in Beverly Hills, where sport, science, and performance converge under the sign of Italian excellence.
The program unfolds as a conversation moderated by journalist Veronica Maffei, guiding the audience through an exploration of how scientific research, innovative industry, and athletic performance converge to shape a holistic vision of wellness. Maura Fanti, postdoctoral researcher at USC’s Longevity Institute, will share her work on dietary strategies such as time-restricted eating and fasting-mimicking diets, shedding light on their impact on aging, chronic inflammation, and metabolic health. From the world of industry, Fabrizio Gamberini brings the experience of Vibram, the Italian company recognized worldwide as the leader in high-performance rubber soles for outdoor and leisure activities, where he directs research and innovation at the cutting edge of design and performance. Completing the dialogue is the athlete’s perspective: Sofia Cantore, newly signed with the Washington Spirit and the first Italian ever to join the NWSL, who draws from her international journey with Juventus and the Italian National Team to reflect on the demands and aspirations of top-level competition.
This celebration of Italian innovation and talent promises to engage audiences in a dynamic dialogue on how Italy continues to excel on the field, in the laboratory, and across industries shaping the future of sport and wellness.
