Los Angeles, CA – September 2025 – The 17th Annual Hola Mexico Film Festival, presented by Toyota, proudly celebrates the 10th edition of its career development program, Tomorrow’s Filmmakers Today (TFT), during Hispanic Heritage Month.
TFT is a fully funded, immersive 10-day fellowship that selects emerging Latino filmmakers each year from California, Florida, many other U.S. states, and Latin America. The program is designed to foster creative collaboration, professional development, and lifelong connections among participants, while providing unique access to industry leaders, executives, and directors across the United States, Mexico, and Latin America.
Over the past decade, TFT has cultivated a tight-knit network of 180 alumni, many of whom have gone on to successful careers in film and television. This alumni network continues to thrive, with graduates collaborating on projects and supporting one another in their professional journeys.
“This program may be small in size, but it is monumental in its impact,” said Diana Luna, Head of the Board of TFT and Executive Director of NALIP. “I am incredibly proud of TFT and the way it has connected generations of Latino filmmakers. The bonds formed here are lifelong, and our alumni continue to inspire each other while advancing their careers. It’s a testament to the power of mentorship, connection, and a committed community.”
This year, 17 selected TFT participants showcase their work at the Hola Mexico Film Festival and engage in meaningful networking opportunities with industry professionals. This year’s cohort represents a vibrant cross-section of Latino voices, bringing diverse stories and perspectives to the forefront of the entertainment industry.
The program is fully funded thanks to the generous support of McDonald’s and the Golden Globes Foundation, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of talent, creativity, and professional growth.
