​PASADENA, California (2 de noviembre de 2025) – El Torneo de las Rosas de Pasadena® celebró su séptima Jornada de Puertas Abiertas anual en la Casa del Torneo, en colaboración con la Coalición Comunitaria de Pasadena y con el apoyo de la Fundación de Cooperativas de Crédito de California. Casi 500 invitados asistieron al evento, que celebró el espíritu de unión de Pasadena, reconociendo la singularidad de cada persona y el propósito compartido, a la vez que rindió homenaje a Mark Leavens, presidente del Torneo de las Rosas de 2026.

Leavens, voluntario comprometido desde 1995, dirige el Torneo de las Rosas para el 137.º Desfile de las Rosas® presentado por Honda y los Cuartos de Final de Fútbol Americano Universitario del 112.º Rose Bowl® presentado por Prudential, que se celebrarán el 1 de enero de 2026.

«Nos complace darles la bienvenida a todos a nuestra sexta Jornada de Puertas Abiertas anual en colaboración con la Coalición Comunitaria de Pasadena. Esta celebración busca unir a la comunidad, honrar nuestra diversidad y compartir un día alegre y festivo», expresó Leavens. En el Torneo de las Rosas, creemos en el extraordinario impacto del trabajo en equipo, y este evento encarna esa filosofía. Con el espíritu de "La Magia del Trabajo en Equipo" como eje central de nuestro tema para 2026, nos enorgullece ofrecer una ocasión donde vecinos y amigos se unen con un propósito común y para celebrar.

La Jornada de Puertas Abiertas Comunitaria sigue siendo una significativa expresión de unidad, demostrando cómo el Torneo de las Rosas reúne a las personas a través de la inclusión, el voluntariado y la celebración. El evento refleja el compromiso constante de la organización por fortalecer las relaciones y promover la colaboración en toda la comunidad.

Con el tema de 2026, "La Magia del Trabajo en Equipo", como guía para las celebraciones de este año, la Jornada de Puertas Abiertas capturó la esencia de Pasadena, una ciudad donde vecinos, voluntarios y socios se unen para crear algo extraordinario.

​PASADENA, California.- El Torneo de las Rosas de Pasadena nombró a Serena Guo como la Reina de las Rosas 2026, durante la ceremonia de Coronación presentada por Citizens Business Bank en la sede del Tournament House.

Serena, estudiante del último año en Arcadia High School, es capitana del equipo de debate del Congreso, atleta de voleibol y voluntaria en la Biblioteca Pública de Arcadia y el Foothill Unity Center. Interesada en la ley y las políticas públicas, planea estudiar en Stanford, USC o UC Berkeley.

Desde 1905, la Reina y su Corte simbolizan el espíritu comunitario, la diversidad y la tradición del Desfile de las Rosas, que se celebra cada Año Nuevo en Pasadena. Durante su reinado, Serena Guo y los seis integrantes de la Corte asistirán a eventos comunitarios y representarán al Torneo de las Rosas y a la ciudad de Pasadena, cada uno recibiendo una beca educativa de $7,500 dólares.

El Desfile de las Rosas número 137, presentado por Honda, y el 112° Juego de Tazón Rose Bowl, presentado por Prudential, se llevarán a cabo el 1 de enero de 2026.

​PASADENA, California.- El Torneo de las Rosas de Pasadena® y The Voice se complacen en anunciar que el ganador del Mic Drop actuará en el 137.º Desfile de las Rosas® presentado por Honda.

Los entrenadores favoritos del público, Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan y Reba McEntire, compiten para descubrir y entrenar al próximo fenómeno musical de Estados Unidos en The Voice, el programa de competencia musical de NBC ganador de cuatro premios Emmy.

Si los artistas superan las Batallas, deberán superar las Eliminatorias. Las Eliminatorias también son competencias directas dentro de los equipos, pero en lugar de duetos, cada artista elige su propia canción para interpretarla en solitario. Este año, los concursantes que lleguen a las Eliminatorias tendrán la oportunidad de ganar la competencia del Mic Drop; ¡el ganador actuará en el Desfile de las Rosas el día de Año Nuevo!

Durante las Knockouts, que comienzan a transmitirse el 27 de octubre (8 p.m. ET/PT) y duran cuatro semanas, cada coach recibirá un botón Mic Drop para usarlo con un concursante de su equipo que lo deje boquiabierto. El 24 de noviembre, los televidentes podrán votar por el ganador del Mic Drop entre los cuatro finalistas, y el concursante con más votos tendrá la oportunidad de presentarse en el Desfile de las Rosas presentado por Honda el 1 de enero de 2026.

PASADENA, Calif. (October 17, 2025) — The Pasadena Tournament of Roses and lululemon are thrilled to announce the third annual lululemon 5K Run with the Roses, a one-of-a-kind night run set to take place on December 31, 2025, kicking off the 137th Rose Parade® presented by Honda. 
 
The Run with the Roses is more than a race, it’s a countdown to the new year, filled with excitement, energy and shared celebration. Participants will enjoy an unforgettable experience under Pasadena’s night sky, cheered on by early parade campers and spectators lining the streets. 
 
As the clock nears midnight, runners will take off along Colorado Boulevard, tracing the same historic route as the world-famous Rose Parade. Participants are invited to hit 2026 running, celebrating the spirit of renewal, community and the start of a new year in true Pasadena tradition. 
 
For competitive runners, the new “Beat the Countdown” challenge offers an early start and a thrilling goal: complete the 5K in under 20 minutes before midnight for ultimate bragging rights and special recognition.

El presidente del Torneo de las Rosas, Mark Leavens, hizo el anuncio hoy en la escalinata de la emblemática Casa del Torneo, mientras Johnson hacía su entrada triunfal al ritmo de “Do You Remember the Time” de Michael Jackson. La elección de Johnson como Gran Mariscal se integra perfectamente con el tema del desfile de este año: “La magia del trabajo en equipo”. Con su nombre en el tema, parece predestinado. PASADENA, Calif. (Sept. 29, 2025) — The excitement was palpable on the south lawn of Tournament House as nearly 200 guests gathered to witness a beloved tradition: the announcement of the seven young women selected to the 2026 Rose Court®, presented by Citizens Business Bank. Friends, family, and community members cheered as the finalists stepped forward, marking the beginning of an unforgettable journey that intertwines history, community, and personal growth.

​Volunteer Members of the Queen & Court Committee carefully evaluated each candidate based on academic excellence, leadership, public speaking, and community involvement. The result is a group of remarkable young women who will not only represent Pasadena but also inspire future generations through their dedication and achievements. 7 Young ladies were announced by the Court Committee President, Ron Rodriguez, chosen from among 28 accomplished finalists, the 2026 Rose Court members embody the spirit of the Tournament of Roses®.  ​

“The Rose Court continues a treasured legacy,” Tournament officials shared. “Court members benefit by connecting with their communities, giving back in meaningful ways, and blooming with self-confidence from experiences they will carry for a lifetime.” Each member will also receive a $7,500 academic scholarship, underscoring the organization's commitment to educational excellence.

The anticipation now builds for October 28, 2025, when the 107th Rose Queen® will be crowned in a ceremony on the front lawn of Tournament House. Soon after, the Rose Queen and her Court will step into the global spotlight, riding on their royal float down Colorado Boulevard during the 137th Rose Parade® presented by Honda, and attending the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game® presented by Prudential on January 1, 2026.

More than just a pageant of roses and regal titles, the Rose Court represents Pasadena's enduring tradition of youth leadership, community pride, and the power of opportunity. For the seven young women chosen this year, their reign will be the beginning of a journey woven into the fabric of the city's history and its future.

Riya Gupta is a student at CalTech and lives in Pasadena. She was the captain of her high school’s junior varsity girls’ basketball team and was actively involved in leadership and service throughout her high school years at Northwood High School in Irvine. Riya is studying mechanical engineering and business economics and management, with the goal of working at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory to help advance robotics and spaceflight initiatives. She enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, making matcha, and discovering new foods. Riya is passionate about using teamwork to create unity and progress, inspired by her experiences working with peers, teachers, and administrators to expand opportunities for students.
She hopes to continue building on that spirit of collaboration as she pursues her studies and future career. Riya is the daughter of Sandeep Gupta and Deepti Mittal and has a younger sister, Yesha.

Serena Guo is a senior at Arcadia High School and lives in Arcadia. She is captain of the Congressional Debate Team, member of the Arcadia Speech and Debate Team and a member of the Arcadia Varsity Volleyball Team. Serena serves as a school site leadership representative, student tutor, and community volunteer at the Arcadia Public Library and Foothill Unity Center, and she has also taken part in legislative conferences advocating directly with state representatives. She is passionate about law and public policy, having recently interned at a law firm to gain hands-on experience, and hopes to pursue a career as a lawyer working toward justice and equality. Serena enjoys training pets, drawing, crocheting, and relaxing with a good Netflix show.
She plans to study public policy with a minor in biomedical engineering at Stanford University, the University of Southern California, or UC Berkeley. Serena is the daughter of Hui Zhou and Wei Guo and has a younger sister, Alyssa.

Keiko Rakin is a senior at Alhambra High School and lives in Alhambra. She serves as a Student Board of Education Member for the Alhambra Unified School District and the founder and CEO of the Young Authors’ Alliance, an international youth-led literary arts organization supporting writers in more than 20 countries. Keiko has held leadership roles as president of the Creative Writers Club, Alhambra Moors Poets Society and Library Service Club, as well as co-president of the Black Student Union and Literary Service Club.
She is editor-in-chief of The Moor Weekly, Alhambra’s student newspaper, and previously served as Student Site Council Vice Chairperson. Keiko enjoys creative writing, poetry, hiking, baking, acting, visiting museums and aspires to become a human rights lawyer, fiction author, nonprofit leader, and one day own a bookstore. She plans to study human rights, creative writing, public policy, or philosophy at Wellesley College, University of Southern California, Bryn Mawr College or Howard University. Keiko is the daughter of Elisa Morimoto and Massimo Bordi and has three siblings, Nero, Ki’ya and Zamir.

Olivia Hargrove is a sophomore at Pasadena City College and lives in Pasadena. A graduate of Marshall Fundamental School, she is pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering and is a member of Pasadena City College Motorsports and Cal Tech Racing. Olivia has also been involved with the UC Santa Cruz MESA program, the Cal Teach internship program, and the UCSC Cross Country Club. She enjoys running, hiking, exploring new restaurants with friends, and values teamwork both in academics and athletics.
Olivia plans to continue her studies in aerospace engineering and hopes to attend UC Berkeley, UCLA, or UC Irvine, with aspirations of working in the field or obtaining a master’s degree. She previously spent a year at UC Santa Cruz, gaining experience with the Rocketry Team, which solidified her passion for engineering. Olivia is the daughter of Linda Vogel Hargrove and the late Keith Hargrove and has a twin sister, Ava, who attends the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.

Sophia Ren is a senior at Arcadia High School and lives in Pasadena. She is the founder and director of Youth4ward, a nonprofit supporting foster children nationwide through music education and community initiatives. She serves as head chairwoman of the Arcadia Civic Youth Council, captain of the debate team, and editor-in-chief of The Arcadia Quill, the school’s newspaper with more than 300,000 online readers. Sophia has performed as a flutist at Carnegie Hall five times and is a member of the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra Philharmonic, collaborating with Grammy-winning recording engineers and composers. She enjoys music production, equestrian sports, skiing, debate, travel, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family. She plans to study music production, sociology, and education at the University of Southern California or UCLA, with aspirations of combining music and advocacy in her career.
Sophia is the daughter of Geoffrey Ren and Maggie Han and has three siblings, Angela, Eric and Charlie.

Naira Wadley is a senior at John Muir High School and lives in Monrovia. She is treasurer of the Associated Student Body, a leader for the Girls’ Empowerment Group and a lifeguard at Waterworks Aquatics. Naira also serves as a 6U assistant soccer coach for AYSO, a statistician for the Unified Sports Team and a youth Rotarian for Altadena Rotary at John Muir High School. She plays on the varsity soccer team and has also been involved in water polo, swimming, and track and field. Naira enjoys journaling, filming, swimming, watching movies, baking, and eating, and has even started her own cupcake business. Naira plans to study psychology and pursue a doctorate with a goal of working with adolescents. She looks forward to attending UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, UC Berkeley, Spelman College or Clark Atlanta University. Naira is the daughter of Natasha Brown and has two brothers, Adonis and Diego.

Livia de Paula is a senior at Temple City High School and lives in San Gabriel. She is president of the Associated Student Body, mentor for the English Learners Program, co-president of Healthy Lungs Club, Australian Sister City Exchange Ambassador and a varsity cheer captain. Livia has volunteered at Kaiser Permanente Hospital and previously interned for Sasha Renee Perez’s successful State Senate campaign.
Livia enjoys cheerleading, watching movies, reading dystopian and contemporary novels, journaling, traveling, and spending time with friends. Fluent in Portuguese and currently learning Spanish, she is
passionate about leadership and service and hopes to pursue nursing with plans of becoming a nurse anesthetist. She looks forward to studying at San Diego State University, Cal State Fullerton or UCLA. Livia is the daughter of Carla de Oliveira and João de Paula and has a brother, Lucas.

FINALISTS SELECTED FOR THE PASADENA TOURNAMENT OF ROSES®2026

​PASADENA, Calif. (September 22, 2025) – Before the final round of interviews, the 28 finalists for the 2026 Rose Court presented by Citizens Business Bank took a group photo on the front steps of Tournament House. Applicants from 41 Pasadena area schools participated in the interview process and seven of the finalists will be named to the 2026 Rose Court on Monday, September 29, 2025.  
 
We are excited to continue the treasured legacy of the Rose Court, whose members benefit by connecting with their communities, giving back in meaningful ways and blooming with self-confidence from valuable experiences they will carry with them for a lifetime. The Tournament of Roses® has a long-standing tradition of celebrating educational excellence and continues the legacy by providing each Rose Court member with a $7,500 academic scholarship! 
 
The Rose Court also participates in personal development programs designed to enhance their public speaking and presentation skills, foster self-confidence and refine their etiquette. Members of the Rose Court are given numerous opportunities to get involved in the community, make meaningful contributions and network with local leaders. Being part of the Rose Court offers numerous benefits, including joining an organization committed to hands-on volunteer work, finding ways to give back to the community, honing public speaking skills and fostering personal growth and self-assurance. 
 
Volunteer Members of the Tournament of Roses’ Queen & Court Committee made their selections based on several criteria including academic achievement, community and school involvement, public speaking ability and youth leadership. 
 
The 2026 Rose Court will ride down Colorado Blvd. in the 137th Rose Parade® presented by Honda and attend the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 112th Rose Bowl Game® presented by Prudential, both on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Pasadena Tournament of Roses announces 2026 Float Award Judges

(September 11, 2025) – As preparations for the 137th Rose Parade® presented by Honda hit full stride, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses® is thrilled to announce the selection of Chaz Perea, Doris Hardoon, and Cathy Hillen-Rulloda as the distinguished judges for the 2026 Float Awards. Each of these esteemed judges brings a unique perspective, whether in horticulture and sustainability, global creative leadership or innovative floral artistry. Their combined expertise will ensure that the 2026 floats are evaluated with artistry, technical mastery and alignment with the parade’s theme, “The Magic in Teamwork.”
 
“The 2026 Float Judges bring extraordinary depth and vision to the float judging process. Each of them has made a remarkable impact in their field, and now they bring that perspective to the Rose Parade,” said Mark Leavens, Tournament of Roses President. “We’re honored to welcome such inspiring leaders whose insights will help us celebrate the passion, precision and purpose behind every float.”
 
Each year, the judging panel selects 24 float awards, highlighting excellence in categories such as Float Design, Floral Presentation and Entertainment Value. The pinnacle of the awards is the coveted Sweepstakes Trophy, presented to the most beautiful entry encompassing float design, floral presentation and entertainment.
 
2026 Rose Parade Float Judges:

Chaz Perea Ph.D. –Landscape Manager, Dodger Stadium; Horticulture Professor, Mt. San Antonio College Chaz Perea has led the landscape transformation of Dodger Stadium, where his team reimagined the grounds with drought-tolerant and native plants. Their dedication helped the venue become the first U.S. sports arena accredited as a botanic garden. A hands-on educator, Perea also teaches horticulture at Mt. San Antonio College and is known for connecting design, sustainability and public engagement. His eye for natural form and materials, paired with deep knowledge of plants, will be invaluable as he evaluates floats that bring the 2026 theme, “The Magic in Teamwork,” to life. 
 
Doris Hardoon – Executive Creative Director & Producer; Disney Legend  A Disney Legend, Doris Hardoon’s four-decade Imagineering career spans creative leadership on projects across Disney parks worldwide. She contributed early design work for EPCOT and later served as executive creative director and producer on landmark developments including Shanghai Disney Resort, guiding the resort’s “Authentically Disney and Distinctly Chinese” vision. Today, Hardoon continues to mentor global creatives and cultivate the next generation of design talent through her initiative, Global Connections Collective. Her blend of storytelling, placemaking, and cross-cultural collaboration brings a unique perspective to the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade Float Judging. 
 
Cathy Hillen-Rulloda, AAF, AIFD, PFCI – Floral Designer, Educator; Consultant; Southern California School of Floral Design  For more than 40 years, Cathy Hillen-Rulloda has transformed flowers into award-winning artistry, earning top honors in competitions including the Sylvia Cup and California’s Top Ten Design. Her designs have appeared on stages from the 1984 Olympic Games to industry events across North America and beyond, and her work has been featured in InStyle, Modern Bride and Florists’ Review. As a certified floral judge and longtime instructor at the Southern California School of Floral Design, she has mentored countless designers. Returning to the Rose Parade on the 50th anniversary of her first march down Colorado Boulevard as a member of the St. Albans, West Virginia high school band, she brings a lifetime of creativity, dedication and joy in flowers.

​PASADENA, Calif. (September 4, 2025) – The Pasadena Tournament of Roses® is proud to announce 17 outstanding equestrian groups to ride in the 137th Rose Parade® presented by Honda, themed “The Magic in Teamwork.” 
 
Since the first Rose Parade in 1890, equestrian units have been an integral part of the parade and its surrounding festivities. Each unit brings a unique blend of skill, history, and dazzling presentation, adding a timeless charm to the celebration. 
 
The equestrian groups selected for 2026 showcase traditions from across the country, from historic cavalry units to award-winning charro teams and rodeo drill performers. Together, these units represent generations of horsemanship, cultural pride, and community service, thrilling audiences on Colorado Boulevard and around the world.
 
2026 Rose Parade Equestrian Units (listed alphabetically): 

1st Cavalry Division, Horse Calvary Detachment
Fort Hood, TX
Riding in the Rose Parade for more than 20 years, the U.S. Army’s First Cavalry Division Horse
Cavalry Detachment preserves the rich history and traditions of America’s mounted cavalry.
Known for its legendary horses and precision drills, the unit rides in period-correct uniforms and
tack, demonstrating weapons handling and equestrian skills for modern audiences. The
Detachment serves as a living tribute to the bravery and discipline of the U.S. Army cavalry.

Arabian Horse Association Versatile Arabians
Greenwood Village, Colorado
The Arabian Horse Association returns with the world’s oldest and only true purebred horse, a
breed whose lineage can be traced to every corner of the globe. Known for their beauty,
stamina and sensitivity, Arabians and Half Arabians forge powerful bonds with their riders,
embodying this year’s Rose Parade theme, The Magic in Teamwork. This year’s unit features
riders representing generations of Arabian equestrians and includes past and present leaders of
the Association. With their dazzling costumes and versatile performances, the group showcases
why the Arabian horse has inspired legends for centuries. This is the Arabian Horse Association
Versatile Arabians’ ninth Rose Parade appearance.

Blue Shadows Mounted Drill Team
Lake View Terrace, California
Founded in 1957, the Blue Shadows Mounted Drill Team teaches horseback riding, mounted
drill and leadership through discipline and teamwork. The team encourages young children to
engage in horseback riding, with a special focus on the mounted drill team. The group takes
pride in its inclusiveness, welcoming members who don’t need to own horses. Instead, they ride
at facilities where rental horses are available. With signature turquoise sequin vests and
precision routines, the Blue Shadows have brought joy to parades across California and beyond.
Their competition team has claimed the California State Horsemen’s Association Drill Team
Championship title for 14 consecutive years, and 2026 marks the group’s seventh Rose Parade
appearance, continuing their mission to inspire young riders and celebrate the spirit of
teamwork.

Budweiser Clydesdales
St. Louis, Missouri
The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales have been a Rose Parade favorite since their first
appearance in 1953. Known for their towering size, strength, and gentle temperament, these
bay-colored horses stand 18 hands high and weigh about 2,000 pounds each. With their
signature white stockings, blaze of white on the face, and flowing black manes and tails, the
iconic eight-horse hitch delights millions of spectators each year. Raised at Anheuser-Busch’s
Missouri farm, the Budweiser Clydesdales remain a beloved symbol of tradition and pride,
showcasing both the majesty of the draft horse and the timeless spirit of the Rose Parade.

Hawaii Pa’u Riders
Waimānalo, Hawai‘i
Founded in 1981 by John and Lita Cook, the Hawaii Pā‘ū Riders showcase the colorful Hawaiian
art of equestrian riding, representing the 10 Hawaiian Islands in flowing satin skirts adorned
with fresh floral leis. Each rider and horse are draped in lei crafted in the traditional style of
Hawaiian lei-making, continuing a practice that celebrates heritage and beauty. The group has
appeared in parades across the mainland, including Fort Worth, Portland, Las Vegas, and
Seattle, while proudly sharing the aloha spirit worldwide. Riding with pride and grace, the Pā‘ū
Riders honor Hawai‘i’s equestrian traditions and return to the Rose Parade with fresh floral
elegance and island spirit.

Los Angeles Police Department: Metropolitan Division Mounted Platoon
Los Angeles, California
The LAPD Metropolitan Division Mounted Platoon is a full-time mounted unit dedicated to
crime suppression, community engagement and ceremonial duties across Los Angeles.
Comprising of sworn police officers, the unit patrols city streets, supports crowd management
at large-scale events and participates in public demonstrations of horsemanship and discipline.
With a stable of Quarter Horses and Friesians trained for mounted deployment, the Platoon is
recognized for its professionalism and service. The unit previously appeared in the Rose Parade
in 2012, 2014, and 2018, and returns in 2026 to showcase the partnership between officer and
horse while honoring their commitment to public safety and community trust.

Los Hermanos Bañuelos Charro Team
Altadena, California
Founded in 1995, Los Hermanos Bañuelos Charro Team is a celebrated group of horsemen
dedicated to preserving the rich traditions of charrería, Mexico’s national sport. Based in the
San Gabriel Valley, the family-led team has passed down horsemanship skills through
generations. Riders wear custom-made charro suits embroidered with silver and ride on
handcrafted saddles stamped with the team’s logo. Known for their artistry and pageantry, the
Bañuelos family unveils a new suit design each year, giving fans a fresh look while honoring their
heritage. Returning proudly to the Rose Parade, Los Hermanos Bañuelos share Mexican culture
and equestrian tradition with audiences from Pasadena to the world.

Merced County Sheriff's Posse
Merced, California
Established in 1948, the Merced County Sheriff’s Posse serves as goodwill ambassadors for
Merced County, the Sheriff’s Office, and the State of California. The Posse is known for its
striking golden Palomino horses and vintage rose red and crème uniforms, elaborately
embroidered and adorned with rhinestones. Each rider carries on a tradition of community
service, volunteering at local schools, supporting holiday toy drives and serving as a mounted
Search and Rescue Team. With more than 25 members, the Posse travels thousands of miles
each year to represent Merced County in parades across California and beyond. Returning to
Pasadena, they proudly share their motto of service, horsemanship and community pride with
Rose Parade audiences worldwide.

Mini Therapy Horses
Calabasas, California
Founded in 2008, Mini Therapy Horses is a Southern California nonprofit that brings comfort
and joy through the gentle presence of miniature horses. The group of nine tiny horses is
trained to perform tricks such as smiling, bowing, and even playing keyboards, bringing laughter
and encouragement to people of all ages. Their therapy work extends to hospitals, veterans’
programs, schools, and crisis response efforts across Los Angeles, including the Mayor’s Crisis
Response Team. A crowd favorite in the Rose Parade, the group returns for its eighth
appearance in 2026, continuing its mission to inspire compassion, resilience, and healing—one
miniature horse at a time.

Painted Ladies Rodeo Performers
Sacramento, California
The Painted Ladies Rodeo Performers are more than a drill team. They are a dazzling equestrian
showcase blending artistry, unity, and tradition. Known for their striking red, white, and blue
attire adorned with Swarovski crystal belts and rhinestone tiaras, the team captivates audiences
with precision routines performed on uniquely patterned American Paint Horses. Beyond the
arena, the Painted Ladies Foundation provides support to grieving children and young adults,
reflecting the team’s mission of strength, resilience, and community service. Returning for their
11th Rose Parade appearance, the Painted Ladies embody beauty, heart, and a deep connection
between rider and horse, inspiring audiences with every stride.

Scripps Miramar Ranch- Steam Fire Pumper Unit
San Diego, California
Scripps Miramar Ranch Saddlebreds return showcasing its celebrated Steam Fire Pumper Unit,
led by Michele Macfarlane and her acclaimed equestrian team. Known for dazzling
performances from the Olympic Winter Games to Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee Pageant,
the group has appeared in more than 40 Rose Parades, carrying on a rich family legacy. This
year’s unit showcases horses hitched to an antique steam fire pumper, honoring early volunteer
fire departments and the courage of first responders. Alongside Michele rides television
personality Carson Kressley and a talented team of equestrians, inspiring audiences with their
passion, tradition, and commitment to preserving equestrian history.

Spirit of the West Riders
Arcadia, California
The Spirit of the West Riders are dedicated to preserving the legacy of America’s frontier
horsemen. Clad in vibrant Old West period attire, the group presents a living history tableau
with riders portraying cowboys, cavalry troopers, and sidesaddle ladies, all using historically
accurate saddles and tack. Their unit also features a restored chuck wagon pulled by a mule
team. Riding on behalf of the John Wayne Cancer Foundation, the Spirit of the West Riders hare
stories of courage, grit, and exploration while honoring the enduring traditions of the American
West.

The New Buffalo Soldiers
Shadow Hills, California
The New Buffalo Soldiers honor the legacy of the 10th Regiment, Company H of the U.S. Cavalry,
portraying the history of Black American soldiers from the Civil War through World War I.
Founded in 1992, the group combines authentic and reproduction military uniforms and tack
from the Civil War, Indian Wars, Spanish-American War, and WWI, creating a powerful and
historically accurate presentation. Riding American Quarter Horses and gaited breeds, the unit
also highlights the story of the 25th Infantry Bicycle Corps, whose 1,900-mile ride from Montana
to Missouri showcased the strength and resilience of Black soldiers. Through their
performances, the New Buffalo Soldiers educate audiences about the significant contributions
of Black Americans in U.S. military history.

The Norco Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team
Norco, California
Founded in 2008, the Norco Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team is a high-energy rodeo specialty act
known for fast-paced, precision maneuvers that thrill audiences. Riding American Quarter and
Paint Horses in sparkling hot pink and black attire, the team showcases dazzling horsemanship
and synchronized drills. Beyond the arena, the Norco Cowgirls serve as role models for youth
and proudly support causes including veterans’ programs, the Challenged Children’s Rodeo, and
the “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” Breast Cancer Campaign. Returning to Pasadena, the Cowgirls
bring their trademark spirit, teamwork, and rodeo flair to the Rose Parade.

The Valley Hunt Club
Pasadena, California
The Valley Hunt Club of Pasadena holds a special place in history as the original sponsor of the
first Rose Parade in 1890. With more than a century of tradition, the Club continues its beloved
custom of decorating a carriage each year to carry its president and family down Colorado
Boulevard. The VHC President and their family ride in the carriage, honoring the legacy of the
Club’s founders who helped establish what has become one of the world’s most iconic
celebrations. The Valley Hunt Club’s enduring presence in the parade is a living tribute to
Pasadena’s heritage and the timeless spirit of the Rose Parade.

United States Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard
Barstow, California
The United States Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard proudly carries the American flag as the
only equestrian unit in the Rose Parade, a tradition since 1985. Based out of Marine Corps
Logistics Base Barstow, this historic unit is the last remaining mounted color guard in the Marine
Corps. Riding palomino mustangs adopted through the Bureau of Land Management’s “Adopt a
Horse and Burro Program,” the Marines showcase precision, honor, and pride. Their presence
embodies the Corps’ legacy as “America’s 911 Force,” representing the values of duty, discipline
and service to country.

Victorian Roses Ladies Riding Society
Alpine, California
The Victorian Roses Ladies Riding Society brings the elegance of the 1880s Victorian era to life,
showcasing riders in custom-made, one-of-a-kind period dresses astride and driving a variety of
horses. Dedicated to preserving history through performance, the group also raises awareness
and funds for horse rescue organizations, having generated more than $50,000 to date. With
their striking rose-colored gowns, parasols and historic tack, the Victorian Roses create a living
portrait of the upper-class ladies of the past while celebrating equestrian diversity with both
ridden and driven horses.
 
These equestrian units will delight audiences along the 5½-mile Parade route on January 1, 2026, as they ride alongside floral floats, marching bands and entertainment. 
 
Each year, the Rose Parade’s equestrian units showcase their talents at Equestfest, held at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. This family-friendly event invites audiences to watch performances up close, including drills, dances, trick riding and roping demonstrations. Guests can also meet riders and horses and enjoy educational exhibits, musical entertainment, and food vendors.

Applications Now Open for 2026 Pasadena Tournament of Roses® Rose Court

PASADENA, Ca. (August 1, 2025) – Applications are now open for the 2026 Pasadena Tournament of Roses® Rose Court presented by Citizens Business Bank.
 
We are excited to continue the treasured legacy of the Rose Court, a legacy that has inspired its members to connect with their communities, give back in meaningful ways, and grow in self-confidence from valuable experiences. These are experiences that will not only enrich their lives but also have a lasting impact on the communities they serve. 
 
The geographic eligibility to serve on the Rose Court includes the Pasadena Community College District Map and seven additional zip codes in the area, including Eagle Rock, Highland Park, San Gabriel and Alhambra. To be selected for the Rose Court, participants must live and attend school full-time within those boundaries.
 
Applicants who have been displaced by the Eaton Fire and no longer reside within the geographic boundaries are welcome to apply, provided they attend a school that is within the eligible area. We recognize the strength it takes to move forward after such a loss, and we’re committed to ensuring eligible students have the opportunity to be part of the Rose Court experience.

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses remains a long-standing supporter of a diverse slate of educational initiatives and is proud to provide each Rose Court member with a $7,500 educational scholarship.
 
We're looking for applicants who bring diverse strengths and perspectives — whether they're natural public speakers, youth leaders, academic stars, or involved in their community and school. An applicant isn't required to have all these skills; the selected Rose Court members will provide a well-rounded group who serve as ambassadors of the Tournament of Roses, the Pasadena community and the greater Los Angeles area.

Interested participants are encouraged to explore the website for answers to frequently asked questions and discover the benefits of joining the Rose Court.
 
The first round of Rose Court interviews will take place at Tournament House on Saturday, September 6, and Monday, September 8, 2025.
 
The 2026 Rose Court will ride down Colorado Blvd. in the 137th Rose Parade® presented by Honda and attend the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the 112th Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential, both on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
